Come all you disenchanted, all you cogs and gears working hard to keep the big wheel in motion, The time has come to stand together. Come all you wide awake, they will try to sedate you but you know they can’t put out that flame within you. The time has come to make your voices heard. Running with the fire! Chorus: Running with the fire through the mire of oppression, the means to self-empower are in your possession. It’s like a silent sun that’s burning in you. Outer darkness, inner light to pull you through. Come all you bleeding hearts, keep the flame alive and never fear the language of disillusion. Now that we’re together, let me hear you say: Let’s get this party started! Running with the fire! Chorus

I don’t want to waste any more of my time running the race, chasing down my goals and keeping pace just go get ahead. I don’t want to live any more of my life playing that gig, taking and refusing to give, oh no. When I stop and think it through, there’s just one thing I want to do. Chorus: I want to give my love to you, that’s the only thing I want to do. When the cold, cold world gets me down, I listen for a warmer sound. I’ve made the mistake of closing up my heart for my ego’s sake. Now I’m ready to break it all apart and start again. And sometimes I feel so blue, and then there’s just one thing to do. Chorus Oh baby, I never meant to cause you pain. Oh baby, please give me one more chance to give to you again. When I stop and think it through, there’s just one thing I want to do. Chorus

Romeo Knows 05:29
I was watching the snowplows, those lonely blinking lights. They sailed on the open road like tiny satellites. It made me feel the darkness, it made me really see the distance that lies between your checkered heart and me. Chorus: And you said “take it slow,” but I just don’t know how long I’ll be able to wait. And you said love would flow, but Romeo knows there’s a point, a point where it’s just too late. It was Thursday and counting the last night since we spoke, and I needed to see myself in the mirror behind your smoke. So I scrolled down to your name, and I almost hit send, ‘cause I knew from the very start just how this would end. Chorus The last thing I wanted was to write these words about you. The last thing I wanted to be was a stage that you just went through. Chorus I want to love you, but it’s getting late.

I wish there was some way to tell you it’s going to work out OK, that all this time you’re spending, all this work you’re doing, is going to pay off someday. But I don’t know just what the future holds. All I can say is find some sunshine today. Chorus: And you gotta let the world move through you, the universal ebb and flow. You can’t let that burden get to you. It’s an impulse to clutch but it’s a power to let go. I wish there was some way to guide you, to help you find your own road. I wish that there was something more that I could do to help you reap those seeds you sowed. But I don’t know just what the future holds. All I can say is find the middle way. Chorus Beware of those who tell you what you should and should not do. No one knows the contours of your heart better than you. Chorus

I gotta strike while the iron’s hot, gotta keep the pressure on. I gotta go, there’s no time to sleep, gotta power on ‘til dawn. I gotta burn until there’s nothing left to burn, nothing left… I gotta keep ‘em happy, keep ‘em guessin’, keep ‘em wanting more. I gotta keep it real, keep it fresh, keep it going ‘til I can’t no more. I gotta burn until there’s nothing left to burn, until there’s nothing left to burn, until there’s nothing left… Nothing left to burn. Nothing left to burn my wings and hold me down, oh lord. Nothing left to lose, so here I go. Higher and higher still, I’m floating away. Straight into thin air where the oxygen gives way. My life below me looks so mundane, ‘cause I am miles and miles and miles above the rain. Take my life, sort it and chop it and stick it into some machine. Mix it up, copy and paste it, and throw it up on a screen. Gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy now. I said you gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy now. Take my life, shine it through a prism, and see how many ways it splits. Indigo, emerald, and crimson, and sometimes I can’t tell which is which. Gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy now. I said you gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy, gotta keep ‘em happy now. I try to pull myself together, piece by piece. And somewhere in the fracture, I’ll find release. Higher and higher still, I’m floating away. Straight into thin air where the oxygen gives way. My life below me looks so mundane, ‘cause I am miles and miles and miles and miles… …above the rain.

Greenblood 05:18
I don’t know where she’s taking me. The fog is thick on the city streets. She took my hand, said “come and see,” but honey please, where you taking me? I think that somewhere we got turned around and ended up on the bad side of town. The wicked beast lurks underground, oh lord, where’d we get turned around? Chorus: Do you feel murder in the air? Do you hear voices that are not there? Drink her potion, feel her bite. Lady Greenblood’s thirsty for you tonight. She’s been around for centuries, the streets of London, New York, and Paris. The green fairy brings lunacy, oh lord, listen and take heed. She said, “You had your wine and you had your tea, you spiked your coffee with your dry brandy. But just you wait for the visions you’ll see once you’ve had just one taste of me.” Chorus Drifters, losers, painters, poets, don’t you know it’s with her you belong? All you have to do is close your eyes and listen to her siren song: “Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep now my love.” She’ll make you sad, she’ll make you mean. Get under your skin and turn your blood green. Lady Greenblood’s mad charade has been a plague upon us for too long. Surely she’s to blame for this decay of people’s sense of right and wrong. Chorus Close your eyes and drift away, you are not there. Drink her potion every night. Lord knows you can’t satisfy her appetite.

In the early bloodshot morning, the sunrise red like a headache. The world spins backwards and the waves break, and two missed calls too many to save face. You wake up in a torpor and you feel it deep inside. It froze you in the moment and it took you for a ride. You don’t know it ‘til you feel it. You can’t feel it ‘til you know it. You drink it on a Friday night, you take it home to bed. Roll it up and breathe it in and keep it in your head. You don’t know it ‘til you feel it. You can’t feel it ‘til you know it. It’s as empty as the television, holy as the sun. It’s in the movement in the music, inside everyone. Chorus: Surfing through the waveform, please don’t pretend you know what it’s about. Baby, just hang on as it pulls you up and spits you out. Leper pilgrim 9 to 5, heats his bones just to survive. Saturday, he’s halfway dead. On Sunday, half alive. You don’t know it ‘til you feel it. You can’t feel it ‘til you know it. Well maybe it’s the ego speaking, maybe it’s the love. Maybe it just looks so low when I’m here up above. Chorus You’re the blood in my veins, love.
